Tata EVs Now Listed on GeM, Delivered to Rashtrapati Bhavan
In a strong demonstration of its growing role in India’s electric mobility landscape, Tata Motors has delivered the Curvv EV and Tiago EV to Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi. These deliveries mark a milestone in the brand’s engagement with government institutions and underline its expanding presence in the public sector.
The Tiago EVhttps://parkplus.io/new-cars/tata-car/tiago-ev, delivered in its signature Teal Blue shade, and the Curvv EV, delivered in the sportier Dark Edition, have both found a new home at the President’s Office.
Tata confirmed the delivery across its social media channels and coupled the announcement with a larger development — its entire EV portfolio is now live on the Government e-Marketplace (GeM).
With the listing of Tata’s EVs on the GeM portal, government departments across the country can now transparently and officially purchase Tata electric vehicles through the standardized public procurement system. This ensures a hassle-free and regulated method for acquiring EVs under government programs and initiatives.
The inclusion of Tata EVs on GeM also signifies official approval, with Tata Motors being recognized as a Class 1 supplier — a tag awarded to companies with over 50% Make in India (MII) content in their products. This aligns with India’s Atmanirbhar Bharat (self-reliant India) campaign and the push toward a Net Carbon Zero future.
As of now, the Tata.ev lineup listed on the platform includes:
Tiago EV
Tigor EV
Punch EV
Nexon EV
Curvv EV
These models cater to a wide range of needs, from compact urban commuting to long-range SUV applications. Each model carries Tata’s signature balance of affordability, technology, and range, making them viable choices for government use across both urban and rural deployment scenarios.
Tata Motors isn’t stopping here. The automaker has been testing its highly anticipated Harrier EV, a full-electric version of its popular mid-size SUV.
Following a global debut at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo, the Harrier EV has been seen on test runs across India. It’s now expected to launch next month, expanding Tata’s EV footprint further into the premium segment.
The delivery of Tata EVs to Rashtrapati Bhavan and their availability on GeM mark a strategic move for both Tata Motors and government's electrification goals. It not only bolsters the adoption of electric vehicles within India’s public sector but also reinforces the broader vision of reducing emissions, supporting domestic manufacturing, and achieving sustainable mobility at scale.
