Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) India has unveiled the prices for the 2025 Range Rover Sport, now starting at Rs 1.45 crore (ex-showroom). The latest model comes with a price hike of Rs 5 lakh and marks significant changes to the lineup, including the discontinuation of the Dynamic SE variant. The Dynamic HSE now serves as the new base model, offering enhanced features and a more luxurious experience.
The Dynamic HSE builds on the features of the now-discontinued Dynamic SE, providing a host of upgrades:
Premium Comfort: Semi-Aniline leather seats, powered, heated, and ventilated seats.
Enhanced Convenience: Auto-parking assist and a head-up display.
Luxury Additions: Features such as front massage seats, winged headrests for front and rear passengers, illuminated seat belt buckles, and aluminium tread plates with Range Rover branding.
These additions align the Dynamic HSE more closely with the luxury-oriented Autobiography trim.
The 2025 Range Rover Sport offers a variety of powerful engine options tailored to different preferences:
P400: A 3.0-litre, six-cylinder turbo-petrol engine producing 400hp.
D350: A 3.0-litre, six-cylinder diesel engine delivering 351hp.
Both locally assembled variants come equipped with an 8-speed automatic transmission and advanced 4x4 technology.
For those seeking additional performance and exclusivity, the lineup also includes imported models:
P460e PHEV Autobiography: Priced at Rs 2.11 crore, featuring a plug-in hybrid powertrain.
P530 Autobiography and P530 SV Edition Two: Powered by a 4.4-litre V8, priced at Rs 2.12 crore and Rs 2.95 crore, respectively.
JLR India now offers the Range Rover Sport in five variants:
P400 Dynamic HSE (Rs 1.45 crore each).
D350 Dynamic HSE (Rs 1.45 crore each).
P460e PHEV Autobiography (Rs 2.11 crore).
P530 Autobiography (Rs 2.12 crore).
P530 SV Edition Two (Rs 2.95 crore).
This lineup caters to a diverse range of luxury SUV enthusiasts, from those seeking practicality to those desiring top-tier performance and luxury.
The Range Rover Sport’s new starting price positions it slightly higher than competitors like the Porsche Cayenne (Rs 1.43 crore onwards) and the BMW X7 (Rs 1.3 crore onwards). However, with the added features and JLR's reputation for luxury, it continues to hold its ground in the competitive premium SUV market.
With its refined features and robust engine options, the 2025 Range Rover Sport promises to deliver a superior driving experience. While the price hike may seem significant, the enhancements in comfort, luxury, and technology justify the premium. For those seeking a blend of performance, opulence, and off-road capability, the Range Rover Sport remains a top contender in its class.
