Overview of the newly released Mahindra Scorpio N
Mahindra revealed its brand-new Scorpio N on June 27. One of India's most anticipated SUVs, the Mahindra Scorpio-N, has been in the news for a while. Furthermore, the Mahindra Scorpio-N continues the history of the SUV that debuted in 2002. However, the name has been updated with a modern look, pricing, and features to meet the needs of the time.
With its unique features and design enhancements, the new Mahindra Scorpio-N is set to start at Rs 12 lakh (ex-showroom). The top-level trim of the new SUV is likely to cost Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom).
A new body-on-frame platform powers the redesigned Scorpio-N. According to the owner's manual, the SUV measures 4,662 mm in length, 1,917 mm in width, 1,870 mm in height, and 2,750 mm make up the wheelbase. The SUV's dimensions have increased by 206 mm in length, 97 mm in width, and 70 mm in wheelbase compared to the existing model.
However much different from the previous versions, the new design nonetheless preserves the SUV's butch appeal. The front grille of the Mahindra Scorpio-redesigned N features six slats, the new Mahindra logo in the centre, and a honeycomb mesh below it for the air dams. The LED fog lights, which sit between the C-shaped LED daytime running lights and the LED twin-pod projector headlights, are also new to the Scorpio-N. The hood has been redesigned with strong lines enhancing the SUV's posture. There is also a delicate touch of chrome on the door handles and the front of the car.
The boldface and a high bonnet highlight the new style. Although the back fascia is still covered, the x-mas-style tail lights and elevated boot lid will match the entire design.
The interior of the new Mahindra Scorpio-N has seen a thorough makeover, with a superior interior and more innovation. Leather is widely used throughout the cabin, and the dashboard has been completely redesigned; leather is used liberally throughout the interior. On the dashboard, a big touch screen takes centre stage, surrounded by vertical air-conditioning vents, and there are physical controls for the automated temperature control system. The company has also unveiled a number of innovations that will be included in the vehicle, including the AdrenoX user interface, which debuted on the Mahindra XUV700. Driver fatigue monitoring and connected automobile technologies are also included in the AdrenoX system. A 3D sound system is something new we will see in the upcoming Scorpio N.
The 2.0-litre, four-cylinder, turbo-petrol engine and the 2.2-litre, four-cylinder diesel engine are set to be available as Scorpio-powertrain N options when the XUV700 launches. Both engines are likely to be combined with 6-speed manual and automatic transmissions and four-wheel drive on higher-end cars.
