A recall for the Magnite SUV has been issued by Nissan India because of problems with the front door handle sensors. Nissan has not disclosed the quantity of Magnite SUVs that are impacted by the recall, which is in force for vehicles manufactured between November 2020 and December 2023.

The Nissan Magnite is a tiny sports utility vehicle with five seats that is offered in five different trim levels: XE, XL, XV Executive, XV, and XV Premium. Nissan Magnite currently offers two petrol engines, a 1.0-litre normally aspirated engine that generates 72PS/96Nm, and a 1.0-litre turbo engine that produces 100PS/160Nm.

This Nissan Magnite recall affects both the base XE and Mid XL models. The firm will notify you if you own a Nissan Magnite car that is affected and will recommend that you attend the closest authorized Nissan service centre. Customers won't pay for the Front Door Handle Sensor repair to be completed.

Both engines have an AMT transmission for the NA gasoline engine and a CVT gearbox for the turbo engine in addition to the usual 5-speed manual gearbox. Up to 20 kilometres can be covered by the vehicle per litre.

Nissan has experienced recalls in the past; in 2022, a defective steering wheel caused a recall of nearly 20,000 vehicles in the US. Nissan declared in 2023 that several issues had led to the recall of 699,000 cars in Japan and over 700,000 units abroad. Nissan has exhibited its dedication to resolving safety issues and guaranteeing consumer contentment through these recalls.

By year's end, Nissan is anticipated to introduce the Magnite SUV's redesign. On certain versions, it will come with six airbags, a few extra functions, and cosmetic changes.
