The Maruti Suzuki Dzire was first spied on in India a couple of days back. We can see Maruti Suzuki is getting ready to introduce the next generation of its well-liked Swift hatchback and DZire subcompact sedan. Both cars are currently undergoing testing, which suggests a launch soon.
Previous assumptions suggested that the new and upcoming Swift and the Maruti Suzuki DZire compact sedan would have similar features. However, this was the first time the DZire test mule in its segment was seen with a sunroof. The Maruti will undoubtedly stand out in its class thanks to the sunroof. It could be clearer, though, if the new Swift will receive this feature as well.
Exterior: The 2024 Dzire is expected to have an updated front bumper and new LED headlamps on either side of a new hexagonal mesh-patterned grille with black surrounds. The sedan will have the same silhouette as the current model from the side view, but new alloy wheels will be added. LED taillamps, a new bumper, and a redesigned tailgate will be installed on the back.
The new spy shots reveal it will feature a sunroof. However, the sunroof will undoubtedly make the Dzire stand out in the class. Also, it's unknown if the new Swift also has a sunroof. The UK and Japan are two foreign markets where the new Swift is unavailable with a sunroof.
Interior: From the dashboard to the seats, the Dzire's interior design will be identical to that of its hatchback sibling; fans of the Baleno or Fronx will recognize the style, switches, and buttons. To help set it apart, the Dzire is probably going to have faux wood and brushed aluminum accents along with lighter-colored materials.
The new Dzire will feature a floating 9.0-inch touchscreen unit, infotainment and cruise control buttons mounted on the steering wheel, a sizable digital multi-information display, an automated climate control system, and keyless entry and exit. All of these are already available on the new Swift abroad, but it's unlikely that the ADAS technology will be included in the Swift or Dzire built to Indian specifications. Alternatively, Maruti could incorporate a 360-degree camera into the small sedan
The Maruti Suzuki DZire will share the same 1.2-liter Z Series petrol engine with the Swift when it launches. This three-cylinder engine has a torque of 108 Nm and 82 horsepower in Japan. A mild hybrid version of the engine is also offered. Both a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT gearbox are anticipated by the buyers. A CNG-powered version will also be released not too long after the launch.
We estimate that the new Maruti Dzire will cost between Rs 7 lakh and Rs 10 lakh, ex-showroom in Delhi. The current model costs between Rs 6.57 lakh and Rs 9.39 lakh. The Hyundai Aura (Rs 6.49 lakh-9.05 lakh), Honda Amaze (Rs 7.16 lakh-9.10 lakh), and Tata Tigor will all be competitors of Maruti's small sedan. Recently, Tata's compact sedan debuted an automatic CNG model, a first for the segment. As of now, the launch date of the new Dzire is unknown, Stay updated to hear about it soon.
