New Kia Carnival Launched at ₹63.90 Lakh
Kia has officially launched the all-new fourth-generation Carnival in India, with a starting price of ₹63.90 lakh (ex-showroom). This latest iteration comes in a single, fully-loaded Limousine trim and is powered exclusively by a diesel engine, initially available only in a 7-seater configuration.
This new Carnival marks a significant increase in price compared to its predecessor, which was priced between ₹33-34 lakh. The latest model, however, offers substantial upgrades in size, features, and luxury. With its current pricing, the Carnival does not have direct competitors in the Indian market, positioning itself between the Toyota Innova Hycross (priced between ₹19.77 lakh and ₹30.98 lakh) and the Toyota Vellfire (ranging from ₹1.22 crore to ₹1.32 crore).
The new Carnival showcases a boxier and sharper design than its predecessor, highlighted by Kia’s ‘Tiger Nose’ grille, vertically stacked LED headlamps, and L-shaped LED daytime running lights. Its striking appearance is complemented by 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. Customers can choose from two exterior colors: Glacier White Pearl and Fusion Black. Inside, the cabin features a 2+2+3 seating layout with second-row captain seats that come equipped with heating, ventilation, and adjustable leg support, ensuring a comfortable ride for all passengers.
In terms of technology and comfort, the Carnival is packed with premium features, including dual 12.3-inch curved displays, a 4-spoke steering wheel, dual electric sunroofs, and three-zone climate control. An 11-inch head-up display and a 12-speaker Bose sound system enhance the driving experience, while the 12-way powered driver’s seat and wireless charging pads add to convenience. Notably, the powered second-row captain chairs offer heating, ventilation, and extendable leg support, along with powered tailgate and sliding rear doors.
Safety is a top priority for the new Carnival, which comes equipped with 8 airbags, rear disc brakes, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), and Hill Assist Control. It also features a tyre pressure monitor, front, rear, and side parking sensors, a 360-degree camera, and an ADAS Level 2 suite. This suite includes advanced features like Lane Keep Assist, Lane Departure Warning, and Front Collision Warning and Avoidance Assist, making it one of the most secure options in its segment.
Under the hood, the Carnival continues to feature a 2.2-litre diesel engine, generating 193hp and 441Nm of peak torque, paired with an 8-speed torque converter automatic gearbox that sends power to the front wheels.
To enhance the ownership experience, Kia is offering three years of free maintenance, warranty, and roadside assistance with the new Carnival. The strong interest in this model is reflected in the impressive 2,796 bookings already secured, indicating a positive reception from customers.
With its combination of luxury, advanced features, and strong performance, the new Kia Carnival is poised to make a significant impact in the Indian MPV segment, appealing to families and those in search of a premium driving experience.
