New-Gen Suzuki Launched in the UK; India Launch Coming Soon

Suzuki recently showcased the all-new Swift at the Japan Mobility Show in Tokyo in 2023. The upcoming fourth-generation Swift is set to launch in the UK and Ireland by April 2024, with its Indian debut expected soon afterward, possibly within the next few weeks. The anticipated price for the new model in India is around Rs 6 lakh (ex-showroom).

Compared to its predecessor, the new Swift has received subtle yet impactful updates in its exterior and interior designs. With a length of 3,860 mm, the fourth-gen Swift is 15mm longer than the third iteration. While the overall profile remains largely unchanged, refinements include a modified fascia featuring a larger grille, a distinct headlight design with integrated LED daytime running lights, and a more dynamic lower bumper.

In terms of color options, the new Swift offers eight vibrant metallic colors, along with the addition of four dual-tone color schemes that include options like a Black Pearl or Grey metallic roof. The vehicle is equipped with 16-inch alloy wheels and comes standard with features such as LED headlamps, navigation, rearview camera, rear parking sensors, Adaptive Cruise Control, wireless smartphone link display audio, keyless entry and start, among others.

The Swift's updated interior and exterior designs showcase a new grille and reshaped front seats. While retaining its signature headlight design and silhouette, the hatchback incorporates subtle enhancements like black inserts and boot spoilers, elevating its overall aesthetic appeal.

Incorporating a new hybrid powertrain, the latest Swift model features a lithium-ion battery with a 10Ah capacity to enhance energy recovery efficiency. Equipped with an Integrated Starter Generator (ISG) capable of generating 2.3kW of power and 60Nm of torque, the hybrid engine offers improved performance and efficiency for an enhanced driving experience.
