MG Majestor Set to Launch in May: Sporty Gloster Twin with Premium Upgrades

The Bharat Mobility Show was where it made its first appearance. The Majestor is basically a more stylish, premium rendition of the already-gloster available in the market, and it will compete with players like the Toyota Fortuner, Skoda Kodiaq, Jeep Meridian, and Nissan X-Trail, all set to challenge it in the market.

MG Motor India is ready to take the full-sized SUV space with an introduction in May 2025, AG Motor Majestor.

Discounts on variants that come at a premium

Currently, the range of prices of the MG Gloster ranges between ₹39.57 lakh and ₹44.03 lakh before any ex-showroom costs, and on the same lines, we expect the Majestor to carry some small premium. It saves best below ₹40 lakhs and stretches its arms up to ₹45 lakhs for the higher trims, thus promising to bring great competition in the premium SUV space.

Sportier Exterior Enhancements

Major changes involve:

  • Revamped front grille and sharper LED headlamps

  • New signature DRLs and sportier front and rear bumpers

  • A pair of connected LED taillamps and dual exhausts

  • Blackout for roof, door handles, and wing mirrors

  • Fancy diamond cut alloys of 19 inches in style

  • Coming with prominent 'Majestor' badging

Minor cosmetic tweaks make the car aggressive and athletic, although it shares body panels "such as the bonnet, doors, and fenders from the Gloster.".

Luxury Cabin with Feature Loaded Interior

MG might not have released the cabin officially, but the expectation should be very high. Mostly, the Majestor would be inspired a great deal from the Gloster's interior, but with some changes:

  • 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system

  • Fully digital instrument cluster

  • Panoramic sunroof

  • Power-adjusted, ventilated, and massaging driver seat

  • Heated front passenger seat

  • Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems, 360-degree camera, and wireless charging

  • Three-zone climate control and premium 12-speaker audio system

Engine and Performance

Under the Majestor's hood will reside the same 2.0L, 4-cylinder twin-turbo diesel engine already seen on the Gloster's top-spec version. It comes with an 8-speed automatic transmission and produces 216 bhp with 479Nm of torque, with 4X4 options available to those wanting to go off-road.

The MG Majestor is sure to become yet another leader in the battle in the Indian SUV market with its premium design, impressive functionalities, and a powerful engine.
