MG has officially unveiled a teaser for the forthcoming Hector Blackstorm. This brand-new car is set to be launched on April 10. This new variant will have an all-black finish, following the style of the MG Astor and Gloster Blackstorm editions. The teaser image of the car provides a glimpse of what to expect, so let's delve into the details.
Starting from the exterior, the entire body of the Hector Blackstorm will be in black to match its namesake, Blackstorm. The SUV's front grille will feature a dark chrome finish, complemented by Piano Black roof rails and headlamp bezels. It is also said to be sporting smoked-finish tail lamps and 18-inch black alloy wheels with red brake calipers. Moreover, the vehicle will also flaunt a distinctive 'Blackstorm' logo on the side panel.
Under the hood, the Hector Blackstorm is set to retain the same powertrain options. These options will be featuring a 1.5-liter petrol engine and a 2.0-liter diesel unit. Upon its launch, the Hector Blackstorm will compete directly with models such as the Hyundai N Line, Kia Seltos X Line, and the Tata Harrier Dark Edition.
For an added sporty touch, the front bumper, ORVMs, and various body components of the Hector Blackstorm will showcase striking red accents. Inside, the black color scheme is expected to carry through with black interior details and upholstery accented by red highlights. Safety features are anticipated to include a 360-degree camera, six airbags, and a hill assist.
