MG Cyberster EV goes official in India, starting at Rs 74.99 lakh

The MG Motor has grabbed the headlines in the Indian premium electric automobile market with the introduction of their most unique and electric-powered roadster named the Cyberster EV that not only offers a unique look but also has features of style, innovation, and bare performance.

The Cyberster will be the most powerful option in the MG India lineup at 74.99 lakh (ex-showroom). It is an audacious entry in a segment with no competitors at all.

Pricing and Booking information

Pre-booking customers will also get a slight discount and will be able to get the vehicle at 72.49 lakhs. These quoted prices are a combination of a 3.3kW portable charger and a 7.4kW wallbox charger with installation that provides new purchasers with all that they require to fuel their electric life.

Deliveries of the roadster will start on August 10, with the retail taking place in all MG Select premium outlets.

Electric Performance and Powertrain

The Cyberster is supplied with two motors, one on each axle and coupled with an interesting 77kWh battery capacity, it generates 510hp and 725Nm of output which makes it very exciting.

With its all-wheel-drive configuration, it also accelerates to 0-100kph in only 3.2 seconds with an admirable MIDC range of 580km. To complement its aggressive styling, it boasts of a drag of 0.269Cd that is aerodynamically efficient.

Design That Turns Heads

Low-slung profile, the Cyberster revives the vintage roadster shape in a futuristic style. Main design features are scissor doors, swoopy LED headlamps, arrow-shaped tail-lamps, 20-inch alloys and a folding soft-top roof. It comes in four dual-tone colour schemes, all making the indulgence more customized.

The dual tone colours will include the following:

  • Flare Red with Black Roof

  • Modern Beige with Red Roof

  • Andes Grey with Red Roof

  • Nuclear Yellow with Black Roof

Back Inside the Cabin: Luxury that is Tech-Happy

Cyberster's interior is no less dramatic. It has a triple-screen driver interface plus it has an extra touchscreen on the center console. The feature is creature comforts like electric seats, upholstery in vegan leather, Level 2 ADAS, Bose audio system, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, adaptive cruise control, and a 360-degree camera system, and more.

The Segment of One

There is no other electric convertible in India and that makes the Cyberster alone. It stands up well when it comes to power and technology at a more affordable price than its closest rival, which happens to be the ICE convertible models such as the BMW Z4 and Mercedes-Benz CLE Cabriolet.

Cyberster is not just a car that the MG has introduced, this is a statement.
