The 2025 MG Astor is already on sale in showrooms, but the price increase has affected the entire range.
MG has just put to rest the 2025 face-lift version of the Astor with the new tagline 'The Blockbuster SUV.’ The MG Astor was previously launched at a starting price of Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
But the prices were hiked by Rs 1.30 lakh, and the price range now starts at Rs 11.30 lakh (ex-showroom). Its rival, Astor in the series Hyundai Creta, has a starting price of Rs 11.10 lakh, Rs 20,000 lower than the MG Astor. Here is everything about the 2025 MG Astor you need to consider now.
The 2025 MG Astor has no modifications to the engine as powertrain options. It continues to have the 1.5-litre petrol engine with both MT and CVT options, plus a 1.3-litre turbo unit role with AT. The 1.5-litre petrol engine generates a maximum power output of 110 HP and maximum torque of 144 Nm, whereas the 1.3-litre turbo petrol unit has a 140 HP output with 220 Nm of torque max.
The overall design of the 2025 MG Astor is unchanged. It has the same appeal as the older generation cars. It gets a hexagonal grille with chrome inserts, the same bumper, 17-inch alloy wheels, and much more.
The 2025 MG Astor's interior provides retro charm, and no updates have been carried out. However, the Shine trim of the new vehicle receives a panoramic sunroof and a six-speaker configuration, emerging as the segment's first vehicle to feature a panoramic sunroof (Rs 12.48 lakh—ex-showroom).
MG Astor is currently offered in five variants: Sprint, Shine, Select, Sharp Pro, and Savy Pro. The price range is Rs 11.30 lakh (ex-showroom) to Rs 17.56 lakh (ex-showroom).
