Additionally, the S 450 4Matic benefits from Mercedes’ Energizing air purification package, which includes a dedicated air quality menu on the MBUX display. This feature enhances the cabin’s air quality, ensuring a cleaner, healthier atmosphere for passengers.

Mercedes has also introduced two striking new color options for both the exterior and interior:

With these updates, the S 450 4Matic is now priced at Rs 1.88 crore (ex-showroom), marking an increase of Rs 1.45 lakh from the previous model. Under the hood, it retains its 3.0-litre V6 engine, delivering 367hp and 500Nm of torque.

Updates for the Mercedes S 580 Maybach

The S 580 Maybach variant has received more substantial updates, starting with the reintroduction of rear-axle steering. This feature allows the rear wheels to turn up to 10 degrees, enhancing maneuverability and making it easier to handle the S-Class' large dimensions in tighter spaces. This feature was previously offered in the launch edition but was later removed when local assembly of the S-Class began. However, it was still available on the fully imported S 680 Maybach model.

Safety features have also been bolstered with the addition of a center airbag between the front seats, just like in the S 450 4Matic. The S 580 Maybach also gains the new Manufaktur Rubellite Red Metallic exterior color, paired with a luxurious Maybach-specific Macchiato Beige/Magma Grey interior.

The S 580 Maybach is now priced at Rs 2.74 crore (ex-showroom), an increase of Rs 2.05 lakh over its predecessor. This variant continues to be powered by a 496hp, 4.0-litre V8 engine, while the S 680 Maybach uses a more powerful 603hp, V12 engine.

These updates make the Mercedes-Benz S-Class even more appealing, with new safety features, advanced air purification, and stylish new color options. The reintroduction of rear-axle steering for the S 580 Maybach will be particularly appreciated by those looking for enhanced driving dynamics in a luxury sedan of this size. With prices starting at Rs 1.77 crore, the S-Class continues to set the benchmark for luxury sedans in India.
