The Indian luxury car market is now ready to get a jolt of adrenaline when Mercedes-Benz confirms that it will bring the AMG CLE 53 4MATIC + Coupe. This performance machine is scheduled to debut on August 12th, 2025, which would make it the second CLE model after the CLE 300 Cabriolet.

Design and Styling: A Conspicuous AMG Statement

The new AMG CLE 53 Coupe does not avoid attention. The distinctive design of this two-door coupe is the Panamericana grill as flanked by its muscular fenders, sharp LED headlights, as well as quad exhaust tips at the back.

Buyers can choose to fork out a little extra and get rims of 20 inches to make the car feel sportier, though the standard ones that come with it include 19-inch AMG alloy wheels.

When you get in, you feel welcomed to a cab designed to give the driver the best of the AMG performance. The new features are a flat-bottomed steering wheel, specific to AMG, a 12.3-inch digital infotainment display, and a vertical layout of the central infotainment touchscreen, 11.9 inches.

Its sleek interior comes with Alcantara and leather upholstery and also features contrasted stitching and carbon-fibre inserts that help it spell out its premium intentions as a high-performance vehicle.

Powertrain & Performance: Electrified Muscle

But under the hood, there is power to spare, the CLE 53 being driven by a 3.0-litre, inline-six twin-turbo connected to a 48V mild-hybrid system. In combination, they produce 443bhp and 560Nm of torque.

Power is housed at the 4MATIC with AWD through a 9-speed AMG Speedshift. It gets to 0-100 kmph in an amazing 4.2 seconds and the AMG Performance Package (optional) brings the top speed to 270 kmph rather than 250 kmph.

Launching and Positioning in India

Could really be a replacement of the current C-Class and E-Class Coupes, the CLE 53 will be a widening of the AMG armory in India. Although we are not yet aware of pricing, it will be positioned above the CLE 300 and have a sweet mix of luxury, technology and high-octane performance that only hardcore enthusiasts who want exclusivity and excitement can have.

Keep an eye out on the 12th of August, this is not a launch, this is a statement.
