Maserati GT2 Stradale Launched in India at ₹5.72 Crore
  • The Maserati GT2 Stradale is a road-legal, track-focused supercar based on the MC20, with global production limited to 914 units.

  • It gets a 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 engine producing 640hp and 720Nm, with a claimed 0-100kph time of 2.8 seconds.

Maserati has launched the GT2 Stradale in India at an ex-showroom price of ₹5.72 crore. The supercar is based on the MC20 but draws inspiration from the brand's GT2 racing car. It combines the MC20's underlying platform with changes to its aerodynamics, engine output and chassis to make it more suitable for track use while remaining road legal.

The model is part of a limited global production run of 914 units, a reference to 1914, the year Maserati was founded.

Track-Inspired Exterior and Aerodynamic Changes

The GT2 Stradale features several exterior changes over the MC20. At the front, it gets a redesigned bumper, a front diffuser and additional bonnet vents to improve airflow. The front wheel arches also feature revised air outlets, while the larger rear air intakes are designed to improve cooling for the engine and radiator.

At the rear, the supercar gets a prominent adjustable wing and a redesigned diffuser. Maserati claims that the GT2 Stradale can generate up to 500 kg of downforce at 280 kph in its high-downforce configuration. It also gets carbon-fibre body components and 20-inch single-nut forged alloy wheels.

These changes contribute to a claimed weight reduction of around 60 kg compared with the MC20.

640 hp Twin-Turbo V6 Engine and Performance

Power comes from Maserati's 3.0-litre, twin-turbocharged Nettuno V6 petrol engine, which produces 640 hp and 720 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission that sends power to the rear wheels.

Maserati claims the GT2 Stradale can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.8 seconds and reach a top speed of 324 km/h. The supercar also offers four driving modes: Wet, GT, Sport and Corsa, allowing the driver to select settings according to road and track conditions.

Cabin and Performance Equipment

Inside, the GT2 Stradale features a driver-focused layout with a multifunction steering wheel, carbon-fibre detailing and Alcantara upholstery. It also gets digital displays for the instrument cluster and infotainment system, along with lightweight carbon-fibre seats.

Buyers can also opt for performance packages that add equipment such as Michelin semi-slick tyres, carbon-ceramic brakes and an electronic limited-slip differential. The availability of these options may vary by market.

With its India launch, the Maserati GT2 Stradale joins the brand's local line-up as its road-legal, track-focused offering. Its limited production, revised aerodynamics and higher-output V6 engine distinguish it from the standard MC20.
