Maruti Suzuki e Vitara Gets First Price Hike Since Launch; EV Now Costlier by Up to ₹30,000
  • Maruti Suzuki has rolled out its first price increase for its debut all-electric SUV, the e-Vitara, raising prices by up to Rs. 30,000 depending on the variant.

  • While the mid and higher trims have become noticeably dearer, the entry-level Delta variant remains completely unaffected, retaining its competitive starting price.

Maruti Suzuki has announced the first price revision for the e Vitara since its launch, making select variants of the electric SUV costlier by up to ₹30,000. The latest update affects both standard purchase and Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) variants, while the entry-level Delta trim continues at its existing price.

The revised pricing primarily impacts the mid and top-spec variants, reflecting a strategic adjustment across the lineup. Despite the increase, the e Vitara continues to offer a compelling package of long driving range, modern technology, and multiple battery options, strengthening its position in India's rapidly growing electric SUV segment.

Maruti e Vitara Variant-Wise Price Revision

A closer look at the revised pricing reveals that Maruti Suzuki has applied the price hike selectively across the e Vitara lineup. The entry-level Delta variant remains unchanged, continuing to be priced at ₹16 lakh (ex-showroom), making it the most affordable option in the range.

The Zeta variant has received the largest increase of ₹30,000, while the range-topping Alpha and Alpha Dual-Tone variants are now costlier by ₹20,000 each. This strategic revision allows Maruti Suzuki to maintain an attractive entry price while adjusting prices for higher-spec variants.

Battery Options and Driving Range

The latest price revision does not bring any mechanical updates to the e Vitara. The electric SUV continues to be offered with two Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery pack options:

  • 49 kWh Battery Pack: Exclusively powers the base Delta trim, developing 142 bhp of maximum power and an identical 193 Nm of torque. It guarantees a certified driving range of up to 440 km on a single charge.

  • 61 kWh Battery Pack: Underpins the higher Zeta and Alpha grades. This larger setup pushes out a stronger 172 bhp while retaining the 193 Nm torque output, stretching the maximum single-charge range to an impressive 543 km.

Maruti e Vitara Features and Technology

The price revision does not bring any changes to the equipment list. The e Vitara continues to offer a feature-rich package aimed at modern EV buyers.

Key highlights include:

  • Dual digital displays

  • Level 2 ADAS

  • 360-degree camera

  • Ventilated front seats

  • Electric sunroof

  • Connected car technology

  • Wireless smartphone connectivity

  • Multiple charging solutions

Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara Price and Rivals

Following its first price revision, the Maruti Suzuki e Vitara is now priced between ₹16.00 lakh and ₹20.21 lakh (ex-showroom), depending on the variant and battery pack selected.

At this price point, the e Vitara competes with several electric SUVs in the Indian market, including the Hyundai Creta Electric, Tata Curvv EV, MG ZS EV, Mahindra BE 6 and the upcoming Toyota Urban Cruiser EV.

Although the first price hike slightly increases the ownership cost, the e Vitara continues to offer a competitive mix of range, technology, and brand reach through Maruti Suzuki's extensive Nexa network.
