Maruti Suzuki is offering larger discounts on several of its cars and SUVs at Nexa dealerships for the last week of June. These discounts have increased significantly compared to the start of the month due to a buildup of inventory and slower sales. The biggest discounts are on the Grand Vitara midsize SUV, the Fronx compact SUV, and the XL6 MPV. While the Baleno, Ignis, and Ciaz maintain their usual discounts, the Invicto MPV remains without any discounts.
The Maruti Grand Vitara now comes with discounts up to Rs 1.4 lakh. Previously, the total benefits, including a three-year extended warranty, were up to Rs 74,000. The Grand Vitara's hybrid variants, which offer an impressive fuel efficiency of 27.97 kmpl, are the ones with the highest discounts. Mid- and top-spec variants like Delta, Zeta, and Alpha have discounts of up to Rs 64,000. The CNG entry-level Sigma and other CNG trims get Rs 34,000 and Rs 14,000 off, respectively.
The Grand Vitara competes with other midsize SUVs like the Honda Elevate, Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, and MG Astor. Prices for the Grand Vitara range from Rs 10.99 lakh to Rs 19.93 lakh. It comes with a 103 hp, 1.5-liter petrol engine with both manual and automatic transmission options. There’s also a CNG version and a 116 hp, 1.5-liter strong hybrid powertrain available.
Maruti has expanded the Velocity Edition range to all 14 variants of the Fronx. However, the biggest discounts are on the Turbo variants of the Fronx, with benefits up to Rs 77,000, which is Rs 20,000 more than before. The standard petrol versions now have benefits up to Rs 32,500, an increase of Rs 5,000, while the CNG versions maintain discounts of Rs 12,000.
The Fronx competes in the compact SUV segment against the Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, Renault Kiger, Nissan Magnite, and Toyota Taisor. With the Velocity Edition now available on even the base Sigma variant, the Fronx is priced between Rs 7.29 lakh and Rs 12.88 lakh. It comes with three engine options: a 90 hp, 1.2-liter petrol engine with manual and AMT options, a 78 hp CNG version of the same engine, and a 100 hp, 1.0-liter turbo-petrol engine with manual and automatic transmissions.
The Maruti XL6 now has increased discounts up to Rs 40,000 for the petrol variants and up to Rs 25,000 for the CNG variants. This is an increase of Rs 15,000 from previous discounts. The XL6, Maruti's answer to the Kia Carens and Mahindra Marazzo, is priced from Rs 11.61 lakh to Rs 14.61 lakh. It features a 103 hp, 1.5-liter petrol engine available with manual and automatic transmission options. When running on CNG, the engine delivers 88 hp.
In Conclusion, Maruti Suzuki is significantly increasing discounts on some of its popular models due to slow sales and high inventory levels. The Grand Vitara, Fronx, and XL6 have all seen substantial increases in their discount offers, making it a potentially great time for buyers to purchase these models. Whether you're looking for a midsize SUV, a compact SUV, or an MPV, these increased discounts make Maruti's offerings even more attractive. Always check with local dealers as discounts can vary by location and stock availability.
