Maruti Fronx hits 1 lakh exports milestone in 25 months

In the global platform, the Fronx, the compact SUV of Maruti Suzuki, has made a huge milestone by crossing 1 lakh exports in only 25 months of its market launch.

The model that is constructed at Suzuki Motor Gujarat has gone fast to become a favorite in a number of foreign markets due to its feature-richness and versatile performance of this model.

Greater Number of Exported Passenger Vehicles in FY 2024-25

Fronx was not only an effective market launch at home, but it has become an international top-seller even in FY 2024-25. The Fronx was the most exported passenger car in India, with more than 69,000 units exported to other countries in the fiscal year.

Much of these exports were to Japan, and this was an indication of the growing demand of Indian-manufactured automobiles to countries that are normally averse to exports.

This is another landmark in touting the capability of Maruti Suzuki in the designing, development, and manufacturing capability of globally competitive models here in India. The fierce export policy, as well as the universal design of the models, explains why the Fronx is gaining popularity in foreign markets.

Exported to Over 80 Countries and Counting

As it was introduced in the market, the Fronx has reached over 80 countries, as it underscores its flexibility to different markets. Its affordable pricing, the trendy crossover styling, various powertrain options such as a 1.0L turbo-petrol engine and robust safety and features offerings have made it one of the irresistible options to foreign buyers.

The Vallis is produced on the Heartect Platform, and offered in six trims

The Fronx is projected to realize a lightweight engineering and structural rigidity based on the Heartect platform developed by Maruti Suzuki. It is offered in six versions in the Indian markets but pricing begins at 7.54 lakh (ex- showroom). Such an affordable price has contributed to a wide acceptance of the Fronx not only in India but also overseas.

In such an accomplishment, the Fronx can now be ranked among a handful of Indian automobiles that have fared well worldwide- this further adds to the credit of Maruti Suzuki as a global auto manufacturer.
