Lamborghini Temerario India Launch on April 30: A 920hp Hybrid Beast Arrives.

Lamborghini will officially introduce the Huracan replacement, the Temerario, on April 30 in India. This is much sooner than the previously expected late 2025 launch.

Unveiled for the first time in August 2024, this plug-in hybrid (PHEV) supercar is the latest offering in Lamborghini's electrification strategy while still capturing the stroke of blistering performance and excitement associated with the brand.

With its 920hp hybrid powertrain, staggering 0-100kph in just 2.7 seconds, and 343kph top speed, the Temerario knocks heads with rivals McLaren 750S and Ferrari 296 GTB.

Powertrain & Performance: Hybrid Technology Meets Extreme Speed

At the heart of the Lamborghini Temerario lives a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine coupled with an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT). This engine, with its high revving capacity, exerts 800hp on its own and 730Nm of torque.

To top it all, Lamborghini has added two more electric motors which boost performance such that combined they produce as much as 920hp and 800Nm.

With this electric arrangement, the last-born states 0-100 kph in 2.7 seconds, making it one of the fastest Lamborghinis ever made. And top speed? A staggering 343kph; it cannot be anything but a true thoroughbred supercar.

Hybrid Battery & Charging

The electric motors for the Temerario are powered by a compact 3.8kWh battery that can be charged in 30 minutes using a 7kW AC charger. Other ways of replenishing the battery include regenerative braking or charging directly through the V8 engine for seamless delivery of power and efficiency.

Design & Aerodynamics: The Futuristic Take with Lamborghini DNA

The Temerario uses some classic Lamborghini elements as well as several new aerodynamic elements to improve performance.

Exterior Highlights

  • Shark-nose front end inspired by previous Huracán models

  • Aggressive stance created using hexagonal LED DRLs and slim headlights

  • Hexagonal taillights, exhaust tips, and a fuel cap continue the Lamborghini motif

  • Low-sculpted roofline and pronounced side panels that scream aerodynamic efficiency

  • 20-inch (front) and 21-inch (rear) wheels, either forged or carbon-fiber

Further weight savings were achieved by Lamborghini engineering an all-aluminum spaceframe, increasing torsional rigidity by 20%. For those searching for extra performance, the Alleggerita package adds carbon-fiber components, reducing weight by a further 25kg to a total dry weight of 1,715kg.

Interior & Technology: Where the modern is matched with Lamborghini's classical aesthetics

Inside, the Temerario's cockpit recalls fighter aircraft, maintaining Lamborghini's tradition of over-the-top interiors.

Key Interior Features

  • Three displays, all with high resolutions:12.3-inch digital driver display of 12.3 inches

  • Infotainment touch screen of 8.4 inches, portrait format

  • Display passenger: 9.1 inch

  • Start/stop push button in the center console, airplane-style

  • Real buttons on the steering wheel instead of touch-sensitive controls

  • The driver seat is adjustable 18 ways, as it is heated and ventilated

Lamborghini has been entirely dedicated to driver engagement to ensure the vehicle remains an intuitive and exhilarating machine while piloting it.

Pricing and Rivals

This hybrid powerhouse, with its advanced technologies and weight-saving features, is predicted to be priced at around ₹ 7 crores (ex-showroom, India) for the Lamborghini Temerario. This means the car falls slightly above the outgoing Huracán.

  • Key Competing Rivals

  • McLaren 750S

  • Ferrari 296 GTB

Both hailing from companies on a renowned path of shared hybrid technology, this segment is invigorated further as a battleground for the next supercars.

Here Lies the Future of Lamborghini Performance

It ushers in an entirely new epoch for the Italian marquee, combining electrification with supercar performance. With a ferocious twin-turbo V8, a sophisticated hybrid system, and avant-garde aerodynamics, the Temerario is not only a successor to Huracán—it's a statement of Lamborghini's future.

A launch planned in India on April 30 is not far off before we see this hybrid beast hit Indian roads.
