Kia Starts Producing All-New Seltos Locally in India
  • Kia has begun manufacturing the brand-new Seltos in India, with the first vehicle coming off the assembly line at the Anantapur facility.

  • The 2026 Seltos will have a bigger body, a new platform, cutting-edge safety features, and current technology. The price will be announced on January 2, 2026.

At its manufacturing plant in Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh, Kia India has started producing the brand-new Seltos mid-size SUV. Deliveries will start shortly after the launch, as seen by the ceremonial first unit being rolled off the line recently.

Before the new model's market introduction, the corporation confirmed that pricing information would be formally revealed on January 2, 2026.

New Platform & Bigger, Bolder Design

With increased length and width that make it one of the longest cars in its class, the most recent Seltos is noticeably larger than its predecessor. This should lead to more passenger room and better road presence.

The SUV, which is based on Kia's India-first global K3 platform, offers improved suspension tuning, increased structural strength, and reduced noise levels for a more luxurious ride.

With a ‘Digital Tiger Face’ grille, ‘Ice Cube’ LED projection headlights, and elegant flush-fitting door handles that lend a high-end touch, it showcases Kia's contemporary design language on the outside.

Modern Interior Design and Technology

The new Seltos has an advanced cockpit with a big panoramic display that combines the entertainment system and driver's instrument cluster. Features like Bose premium audio, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, over-the-air software updates, and Kia's most recent connected car suite complement this.

Offerings for Safety and Performance

With a 24-feature standard safety pack and Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) in all models, safety has been emphasised.

Customers can choose from a variety of gearboxes, including manual, clutchless manual, automatic, and dual-clutch models, in addition to a number of gasoline and diesel engine options.

Consequences for the Indian Market

The introduction of the brand-new Seltos demonstrates Kia's determination to increase its market share in India's cutthroat mid-SUV market. The new Seltos seeks to maintain the success of its predecessor and draw in buyers seeking a high-end, feature-rich SUV supported by robust local manufacturing capabilities with improved comfort, technology, and safety.
