Celebrating the first anniversary of its Exter SUV, Hyundai has launched the much-anticipated Exter Knight Edition at an attractive starting price of ₹8.38 lakh. The Exter Knight Edition joins the exclusive Knight Edition lineup, following in the footsteps of the popular Creta and Venue SUVs. Hyundai’s latest offering aims to captivate the imaginations of Gen Z and millennial car buyers with its striking design and unique features.
The Hyundai Exter Knight Edition is aimed at a more distinctive look with a stand-out dark theme. The front grille is mostly blackout, while the fog lamp casing gets red ‘strikes’ both on the front and rear bumpers. While the familiar solid grey skid plates are no longer featured here, the otherwise standard Exter has new all-black ones that add to the SUV’s muscular appeal. At the vanguard of the cars, the SX (O) houses 15-inch black alloy wheels that provide an added aggressive outlook.
In addition to these features, the Knight Edition boasts several exclusive enhancements. These include red front brake callipers, a black metal finish on the Hyundai and Exter badges, and a unique Knight Emblem on the tailgate, all of which contribute to its distinctive identity.
The Exter Knight Edition is available in a variety of colour options to suit different tastes. It offers five monotone and two dual-tone colour schemes: Starry Night, Atlas White, Ranger Khaki, Abyss Black, Shadow Grey, Ranger Khaki with Abyss Black roof, and Shadow Grey with Abyss Black roof. These colours complement the vehicle's bold design, allowing buyers to personalize their SUV according to their preferences.
The cabin of the Exter Knight Edition continues the dark theme with an all-black interior. Red inserts on the air conditioning vents, climate control, and upholstery add a sporty touch to the interior. Even the internal door handles are painted black, maintaining the cohesive design. These interior enhancements are not just aesthetic but also create a more immersive and engaging driving experience.
Under the hood, the Exter Knight Edition retains the same mechanical specifications as the standard Exter. It is powered by an 82 bhp 1.2-litre Kappa naturally aspirated petrol engine. Buyers can choose between a 5-speed manual transmission and an automated manual transmission (AMT) gearbox, offering flexibility based on their driving preferences.
