As per the resources, the commission of Air Quality Management passed an order on Wednesday, mentioning that the target is to operate only CNG and e-autos from January 1st 2027. Considering that NCR covers Delhi, eight districts of Uttar Pradesh, 14 districts of Haryana, and two districts of Rajasthan.

This decision was taken because of the poor category of smog witnessed on Wednesday, where the Air Quality Index in the NCR stayed at 332. Besides this, the air quality continued to remain poor in November.
