Ford sold around 18000 hybrid car units in April 2024; a new record for the company

Ford Motors recently shared some news regarding their car sales in April 2024. They announced that they had a record-breaking month, in selling vehicles in the US market. Specifically, they sold a total of 17,997 cars with the Ford F 150 PowerBoost hybrid and Ford Maverick hybrid emerging as the choices for buyers.

Ford's decision to prioritize cars over vehicles (EVs) proved to be successful in April as they witnessed a significant 60% surge in sales compared to the previous year. This indicates a growing interest among customers in automobiles.

The Ford F 150 PowerBoost hybrid truck experienced sales growth of 93.6% compared to the year solidifying its position as the most favored full-size pickup truck in the US. Ford emphasized that many customers are opting for the 7.2 kW Pro Power Onboard feature of the F 150 PowerBoost hybrid enabling them to utilize the truck's power for purposes such, as work-related tasks, social gatherings, or emergencies.

Furthermore, Ford celebrated the achievements of their Ford Maverick truck, which has emerged as their selling model so far this year. They managed to sell 26,061 units of the Maverick hybrid during the four months of 2024.

Surprisingly a majority of Maverick buyers switched from brands indicating Ford's appeal to a diverse range of customers, with their hybrid models.
