Electric Mercedes-Benz GLC Debuts with 39-inch Hyperscreen

Next to explore the limits of digital luxury, Mercedes-Benz is presenting its next addition, an electric GLC SUV, previewed before its world debut at the 2025 IAA Mobility at Munich. The highlight is on the new MBUX Hyperscreen exclusively, a large display that covers the complete width of the dashboard and it has a size of 39.1 inches.

This would also render it the biggest screen to be ever installed in a Mercedes and to incorporate in-car digital experience on another level. Constructed on the basis of the matrix backlight, the screen contains more than 1,000 LEDs that have the zone dimming effect enabling the individual parts of the screen to be separated, enabling the devices to be customized manually by the drivers and passengers.

Design Meets Technology

The interior design of the new Mercedes will see the introduction of the new internal philosophy by leveraging curves and smooth technology sandwiching into the cozy haven of the recently-introduced electric GLC. The instrumentation together with the center console are one continuous fluid surface and this is supported by ambient light that is spread over the cabin.

Luxury detail has also not been missed out on like, it has galvanised air vents, metallic speaker grilles and minimalist door panel heating the environment to a high end. It is also practical, having optional wireless fast-charging trays, a redesigned hard-key strip and neat, separated cup holders.

Interactive Luxury Experience

Mercedes has also presented active ambient styles, which are animated backgrounds of the Hyperscreen. These audiovisual images are in harmony with the car lighting and control functions driven by the creation of moods that can change to be peaceful and cool to be animated and warm.

Example: A shift in climatic control temperature will cause a short animation of colour in the ambient lighting, which enforces tissue being that much closer to the driver, the passenger and the surroundings of the car.

With its record-setting 39-inch Hyperscreen and immersive cabin design, the SUV signals how Mercedes intends to merge cutting-edge technology with timeless luxury in the electric age.
