Tata dealerships are giving away discounts on certain cars in their lineup valued up to Rs 1.50 lakh, including cash reductions, exchange bonuses, and corporate discounts. But there are no savings offered for its electric vehicles (EVs), Punch, or the recently redesigned Nexon, Harrier, and Safari SUVs.

• Tata Safari: Up to Rs 1.50 lakh discount

Similar to the Harrier, the remaining stock of the pre-facelift Safari is still present at some Tata dealerships, where customers can still receive discounts of up to Rs 1.50 lakh. The Safari and the Harrier share the same powertrain options. Like its five-seater sibling, the Safari is well-built, has adequate performance, and offers a third row of seats that is relatively large. The Mahindra XUV700, MG Hector Plus, and Hyundai Alcazar are the rivals of Safari.

• Tata Harrier: Up to Rs 1.50 lakh discount

Tata Motors introduced the revamped Harrier a few months ago, but dealers still have pre-facelift models in store, with incentives of up to Rs 1.50 lakh. It is equipped with a 2.0-litre diesel engine producing 170 horsepower and paired with a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission. The Harrier is well-built, has excellent ride and handling balance, and scores highly on-road presence and interior space. It rivals with vehicles like the Jeep Compass, MG Hector, and 5-seat Mahindra XUV700.

• Tata Tiago: Up to Rs 60,000 discount

The Tiago hatchback is offered with discounts of up to Rs 60,000 for the petrol variant and shares its basis and powertrains with the Tigor. In the meantime, buyers of the CNG versions can profit up to Rs 50,000. The Tiago defies with its engine, but it still looks good inside and has good pricing compared to its sedan sister. The Maruti Suzuki Swift and Hyundai Grand i10 Nios are its competitors.

• Tata Tigor: Up to Rs 65,000 discount

Benefits for the Tigor compact sedan range up to Rs 65,000 for the fuel version and Rs 55,000 for the CNG type. An 86-horsepower, 1.2-litre gasoline engine paired with an AMT or 5-speed manual gearbox powers the vehicle. With a manual transmission exclusively, the engine's 70 horsepower is matched to a CNG-spec vehicle. The Tigor is a cost-effective city commuter, although its engine might use some improvement. It competes with the Hyundai Aura, Maruti Suzuki Dzire, and Honda Amaze, among others.

• Tata Altroz: Up to Rs 45,000 discount

With a total discount of up to Rs 45,000, Tata's high-end hatchback is offered in petrol, diesel, and CNG versions. The Altroz has three different engine options: a 1.2-litre, 86-hp gasoline engine; a 1.5-litre, 90-hp diesel engine; and a 1.2-litre, 110-hp turbo-petrol engine. The standard transmission for these engines is a 5-speed manual, however, a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic is also available for the petrol version. The Altroz has an excellent ride and handling, a sleek exterior, and a high-end interior, but the powertrains fall short in these areas as well. The Hyundai i20, Maruti Suzuki Baleno, and Toyota Glanza are its top competitors.
