BMW Set to Launch Long-Wheelbase 5 Series in India, Challenging Mercedes-Benz E-Class LWB

After a long time, BMW seems to be planning to launch the much-awaited long-wheel base version of the newly launched fifth-generation Series Sedan in the company in the next month. Priced starting at INR 47. 49 lakh, excluding the taxes, the new variant is slated for a July 24 launch and is intended to take on the iconic Mercedes E-Class LWB where India is the second global market to get this model after China.

As such, introducing the BMW 5 Series LWB will likely bring a considerable shift in sales dynamics of the luxury sedan segment in the Indian market. It is a new model, and the exterior design of the new variant is bound to have a strong heft to its sleek demeanour and provide a new benchmark for stylish functionality. Expected features include, BMws hallmark grille, elongated LED headlights with integrated twin corona ring daytime LEDs, and a muscular lower bumper with silver insertions. Recalling the vehicle's exterior are redesigned wheels from alloy and new wraparound taillights that boost its exterior design and its elegance in as much as aerodynamics.

One of the standout attributes of the BMW 5 Series LWB is its spacious interior, designed to prioritize passenger comfort and luxury. With an extended length of 5,175mm and a wheelbase stretched by 110mm compared to the standard model, the LWB variant offers generous rear passenger space, ensuring a premium travel experience for occupants.
