All you need to know about the 2025 Mercedes-AMG CLE 53 Cabriolet

Mercedes-Benz has recently revealed the 2025 Mercedes-AMG CLE 53 Cabriolet, featuring a hybrid powertrain with a 3.0 L turbocharged straight-six AMG engine and 48V hybrid technology providing 21 bhp and 205 Nm of torque at lower speeds. Coupled with the TCT 9G gearbox, the powertrain delivers a combined 443 bhp and 600 Nm of torque with over boost. This model is the second modern Cabriolet introduced by Mercedes-AMG, showcasing a move away from the traditional V8 engine in favor of the straight six. Scheduled for a later release date, this performance Cabriolet shares the foundation of the CLE-Class, sporting a two-door design with a soft top.

The emphasis on a hybrid powertrain blends efficiency with high performance, evident in the 2025 AMG CLE 53 Cabriolet achieving a 0 to 100 kmph acceleration in 4.1 seconds and a top speed of 250 kmph. Innovative features such as the Race Start, Race program with drift mode, and rear-wheel drive capability add to the driving experience. Additionally, the vehicle is equipped with advanced handling technologies like adaptive dampers, rear-wheel steering, active air suspension, ESP, AMG performance brakes, and AMG alloy wheels.

Aesthetically, the CLE 53 Cabriolet boasts a striking design with a sleek profile, complemented by a luxurious interior encompassing features like 60:40 split rear seats, an AMG steering wheel, an 11.9-inch vertical infotainment system, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster with tilt function, ambient lighting, and more. The soft top opens and closes in 20 seconds while driving up to 60 kmph, enhancing the overall driving experience.

In a statement, Michael Schiebe, CEO of Mercedes-AMG GmbH, emphasized the CLE 53 Cabriolet's dynamic performance and usability, highlighting the car's sporty design elements such as flared wheel arches and prominent air intakes. Schiebe described the car as a dream vehicle that offers a thrilling driving experience on both scenic routes and daily commutes.
