All-Electric Mahindra XUV700 (XUV.e8) Spotted in Production-Ready Form

Mahindra is currently testing its range of electric vehicles, including the eagerly anticipated XUV.e8, an all-electric version of the popular XUV700. While the XUV.e9 coupe will undergo significant structural changes, the XUV.e8 will maintain most of the design elements and profile of its internal combustion engine (ICE) counterpart.

At the front, the upcoming XUV.e8 will showcase a striking light setup featuring T-shaped LED daytime running lights (DRLs) that connect via a light bar, complemented by vertically stacked LED headlamps. The SUV's aesthetic will be enhanced by an upright bonnet, freshly designed alloy wheels, a blanked-off grille, front parking sensors, and a radar system for advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).

Moving to the rear, the taillight design closely resembles that of the ICE XUV700, maintaining continuity in styling. Additionally, the SUV will sport an extended roof spoiler with a high-mounted stop lamp, rear parking sensors, and a charging port mounted on the rear fender, conveniently located in the same spot as the current XUV700's fuel lid.

Significant changes are evident in the SUV's cabin, where the electric variant of the XUV700 will feature an impressive three-screen setup that spans the entire dashboard. While the third screen is new, the other two appear to be larger than those found in the ICE version, enhancing the overall tech experience.

In terms of features, the XUV.e8 is expected to come fully loaded, offering dual-zone climate control, a 360-degree surround camera, a premium audio system, a panoramic sunroof, powered and ventilated front seats, a wireless charger, a redesigned center console with additional storage, and an auto-dimming interior rear-view mirror (IRVM).
