2025 Nissan Qashqai facelift: In line with the electric Ariya
The UK’s bestselling car in 2022 and the runner-up in 2023, this popular SUV has received a bold new look and has been revised with more powerful lines and a new visage modeled after Japanese samurai helmets. Despite being on sale in Australia for only about 18 months, the model was initially unveiled in Europe over three years ago, prompting Nissan to refresh it to align with newer rivals in the segment. The redesigned front fascia of the Qashqai boasts a bigger grille with gloss black "comma-shaped elements" that are reminiscent of the scales found on traditional Japanese armor. For better illumination, the headlights have been modified, and the taillights on the back have been updated with clear lenses and unique lighting components. The model also comes with a variety of paint colors and new alloy wheel options.
Google has updated its infotainment system inside the Qashqai, and it now features Google apps including Google Assistant, Google Maps, and the Google Play store. Apple CarPlay is still accessible, however, it's unclear if an Android Auto connection will be included. Higher-end models feature Alcantara suede-like material, new seat trim options, and expanded ambient lighting. Additionally, safety features have been improved and new displays are included in the digital instrument cluster to meet European requirements.

Additional safety features on the redesigned Qashqai include enhanced autonomous emergency braking, a Driver Assist Custom Mode, an emergency lane-keep assist system, and upgraded traffic sign recognition technology. New perspectives and functionality have been added to the 360-degree camera system, improving overall safety and driver-aid capabilities.
The engine lineup in Europe stays the same, with a 1.3-liter four-cylinder turbo-petrol with mild hybrid technology and an e-Power hybrid system available. For the Australian market, both engine options are offered; however, the 1.3-liter turbo-petrol engine lacks the benefit of mild hybrid technology. All Qashqais sold in Australia come equipped with front-wheel drive.
The 2025 Nissan Qashqai's Australian specifications and price have not yet been revealed. In Australia, the current Qashqai range is priced from $33,890 to $47,390 for petrol models, and $51,590 for the e-Power hybrid. According to a Nissan release, the upgraded model is anticipated to hit Australian showrooms by the end of 2024.
