2025 Maruti Eeco Gets Major Safety Boost with Six Airbags Standard

Maruti Suzuki has bestowed an Eeco MPV for 2025, with serious considerations toward safety and practicality. The update introduced six airbags across the model range standard, thus bringing the Eeco in line with newer expectations of safety for India; it is a giant leap for what has been considered one of the essential utility vehicles in the country.

Safety First-Eeco 2025 Update

Up until now, Eeco was reserved with just two frontal airbags. Now, the MPV sport six includes three-point seatbelts for all passengers and seat belt pre-tensioners with force limiters up front. Also included among the standard safety tech have been ABS, electronic stability control, and seat belt reminders.

This was part of a bigger scheme by Maruti Suzuki to make its range safer, such as the Brezza, Alto K10, and Celerio, which received similar updates.

New 6-Seat Layout to Replace 7-Seat Variant

Another change comes from a revised seating configuration. The 7-seat variant has been discontinued, with a premium 6-seat layout featuring captain seats in the second row replacing it. The unchanged 5-seat arrangement continues. This new setup is expected to maintain the attribute of practicality for commercial or family use while probably improving comfort.

Minimal Design Changes, New Fabric Seats, and Roof Liners

As can be expected from the Eeco, nothing has changed, yet halogen headlamps as well as vertical tail-lamps with normal 13-inch steel wheels. A few other changes, such as interior upgrades with fabric seat upholstery, new roof liners, modified A- and B-pillar trims for the extra airbags and recline on both front seats outside, are found on this model.

Powertrain Unchanged Yet E20-Compliant

The Eeco still avails itself of the 80hp, 1.2-litre petrol-engine-5-speed-manual transmission combo. However, it is now compliant with the new E20 fuel, the government's new initiative to encourage the use of ethanol-blended petrol. The CNG-powered 70hp version remains different from this 5-seater variant lineup.

With newly improved safety and modernization, the 2025 Maruti Eeco focuses on value and functionality, sought after by commercial and family buyers in this low-cost package.
