2024 Nissan X-Trail Offline Bookings Now Open At Some Dealerships

After a decade-long absence, the Nissan X-Trail is poised to make its return to the Indian market in its fourth-generation form, arriving as a completely built-up unit (CBU). Recent reports confirm that select Nissan dealerships are now accepting offline bookings ahead of its anticipated launch on August 1, 2024.

Design Details

The 2024 India-spec Nissan X-Trail closely mirrors its global counterpart with several distinctive features:

  • Front End: Split-design headlights, LED DRLs, and a V-shaped grille with chrome surrounds.

  • Wheels and Cladding: 20-inch alloy wheels and robust body cladding all around.

  • Rear End: Wraparound LED tail lights, ‘Nissan’ and ‘X-Trail’ badges, and a chunky skid plate.

Cabin and Features

The interior of the India-spec X-Trail is designed to offer a premium experience:

  • Theme and Upholstery: All-black cabin with fabric upholstery.

  • Tech Features: 12.3-inch fully digital driver's display, 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and a panoramic sunroof.

  • Additional Features: Wireless phone charger, paddle shifters, and sliding and reclining second-row seats.

  • Safety: Seven airbags, electronic parking brakes with auto-hold, rain-sensing wipers, front and rear parking sensors, and a 360-degree camera.

Powertrain

The 2024 X-Trail will be offered with a single turbo-petrol powertrain in India:

  • Engine: 1.5-litre turbo-petrol.

  • Power: 163 PS.

  • Torque: 300 Nm.

  • Transmission: CVT, with a front-wheel-drive (FWD) setup and a limited-slip differential.

  • Mild-Hybrid Tech: The powertrain also features 12V mild-hybrid technology.

Pricing and Competition

The fourth-gen Nissan X-Trail is expected to have a starting price of around Rs 40 lakh (ex-showroom). It will compete with models such as:

  • Toyota Fortuner

  • Jeep Meridian

  • Skoda Kodiaq

  • MG Gloster
