The Honda City, one of the most popular compact sedans, has received a Special Edition in Malaysia priced at RM 95,200 (Rs 18.5 lakh). Based on the V trim, this edition comes with exciting upgrades, including new styling elements from the Modulo accessories package, exclusive Platinum White Pearl color, and a variety of interior enhancements.
While official images of the City Special Edition are yet to be released, it can be visualized as a more enhanced version of the V trim with added features. The special edition includes a Modulo accessories package featuring underbody spoilers for the front and rear bumpers, side skirts, and a trunk spoiler for a sportier look.
Platinum White Pearl as the sole color option.
Stylish new alloy wheels.
Added front accent garnish for a distinct visual appeal.
The interior of the Honda City Special Edition comes with several upgrades over the V trim. These include:
Side-step scuff plates.
Special SE badging.
Front video recorder (dash cam).
Trunk tray.
Footwell lighting.
These additions are offered at no extra cost over the V trim with the optional Platinum White Pearl color.
Mechanically, the City Special Edition remains the same, equipped with a 1.5L naturally aspirated 4-cylinder petrol engine. It produces 119 bhp and 145 Nm of torque, paired with a CVT gearbox. This engine is known for its reliability and smooth performance.
While this exciting edition is exclusive to Malaysia, there's hope that Honda India might introduce a similar edition or even a top-spec RS trim to boost sales and add excitement to the Indian market.
