Vehicle Registration Process

New Vehicle Registration Process
The new vehicle registration process requires citizens to submit the following documents at any RTO in Andhra Pradesh.
- Vehicle Registration Application (Form 20)
- Vehicle's Sale Certificate (Form 21)
- A clearance certificate from the customs department is required if the vehicle is imported.
- Temporary Registration Number of the vehicle
- Address proof, Photo ID, and proof of age of the intended buyer of the vehicle
- PUC certificate
- Insurance certificate
- Receipt of the payment of applicable taxes and the application fee
- Passport size photograph of the intended purchaser
- Vehicle model registration and approval
Once these documents are submitted, the designated member from the Andhra Pradesh RTO will verify the same and issue the vehicle registration certificate and number.
Transfer of Ownership of an Existing Registration
If the vehicle is registered with an RTO in Andhra Pradesh, the transfer of ownership can be carried out by submitting these documents.
- Application for transfer of the vehicle (Form 29 and Form 30)
- If the vehicle transfer is happening because of inheritance, Form 31 needs to be submitted
- If the vehicle transfer is happening as a result of a public auction, Form 32 needs to be submitted
- Vehicle chassis number (Original imprint)
- Sale certificate
- NOC in case of inter-state transfer
- Loan documents, if any
- PUC and insurance certificate
- Age, address proof, ID proof of the buyer, and passport-size photographs
- Original Registration Certificate of the vehicle
