Volkswagen Increases Car Prices by 2% In January, Citing Rising Costs

Volkswagen announced a 2 percent price rise for all of its models, which would take effect on January 1, 2024, in response to Skoda's announcement of a price increase.

Volkswagen released the following statement,” Effective 1st January 2024, Volkswagen Passenger Cars India plans to hike prices by up to 2% across its model range owing to rising input and material costs. While the Brand continues to absorb most of the input cost increase, however, some impact will have to be passed on to the end consumers.”

Volkswagen is, however, providing several discounts on the Virtus, Taigun, and Tiguan, totalling Rs 4.2 lakh, before the price increase. These year-end deals are available through December 31st.
