The Volvo EX90 and ES90 land on October 12 at an estimated ₹1.20 Crore and ₹1.10 Crore, while the redesigned Audi Q3 arrives October 16 around ₹46 Lakh to ₹52 Lakh with all-wheel drive as standard.
Volvo EX90 and ES90: These are Volvo's two most important electric models yet. The EX90 is a seven-seat electric SUV, and the ES90 marks Volvo's return to the luxury sedan segment. Both use the new SPA2 platform with an 800-volt architecture, supporting up to 350 kW DC fast charging, enough for a 10 to 80 percent top-up in around 22 minutes.
Audi Q3 third generation: A ground-up redesign, not a facelift. It packs a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine making around 204 hp and 320 Nm, sent through a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox to all four wheels via standard Quattro drive, which should make it noticeably quicker than most rivals here. Inside, an 11.9-inch digital cluster sits beside a 12.8-inch touchscreen in a curved display setup. Some early estimates place the entry variant closer to ₹45 lakh.
Budget-conscious buyers get three launches: the Honda Elevate facelift on October 6 from ₹11.80 lakh, the Toyota Glanza facelift on October 14 from ₹6.45 lakh, and the Hyundai Bayon on October 15 between ₹10 lakh and ₹12.5 lakh (ex-showroom).
Honda Elevate: Sticks with the familiar 1.5-litre petrol engine (around 121 hp, 145 Nm), paired with a six-speed manual or CVT. The bigger story is equipment: ventilated front seats, a factory-fitted 360-degree camera and a larger touchscreen, useful if you've ever squeezed this SUV into a tight parking spot.
Toyota Glanza: The current 1.2-litre four-cylinder engine gives way to a new Z12E 1.2-litre three-cylinder unit making around 83 hp, alongside a 70 hp CNG variant for high-mileage buyers watching running costs. Current pricing runs ₹6.45 lakh to ₹9.99 lakh (ex-showroom), and the facelift will likely push that slightly higher.
Hyundai Bayon: Slots between the Venue and Creta at roughly 4.2 metres long, for buyers who find one too small and the other too pricey. It gets a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, dual 10.25-inch screens, and a generative AI voice assistant for hands-free navigation and cabin controls. Bookings are open at ₹11,000.
