The Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh is taking a firm stance on traffic rule enforcement. On the instructions of the Chief Minister, the Noida Traffic Police has intensified its efforts to improve the traffic system.
Noida DCP Traffic Anil Yadav announced a special 15-day campaign aimed at cracking down on traffic violations. During this period, over 6,000 vehicles were issued challans for various offenses.
Hooters and Lights: Challans were issued for 1,700 vehicles using illegal hooters and lights.
Police Stickers: Over 400 vehicles with unauthorized police stickers faced action.
Illegal Writings: Vehicles displaying unauthorized words such as "Government of India," "District Administration," and caste-related terms received 3,700 challans.
Black Film on Glass: Notices were issued for vehicles with illegal black film on their windows.
Vehicle Seizures: A total of 150 vehicles were seized during the campaign.
A total of 12 teams were formed, operating at different locations and times to check vehicles. This extensive checking led to the recovery of Rs 4,75,000 in challan amounts. Due to these efforts, Commissionerate Gautam Buddha Nagar is now at the top position for traffic rule enforcement.
This campaign demonstrates the commitment of the Noida Traffic Police to ensuring safer and more orderly roads in the region.
