We are already halfway through 2024 and the Indian Automotive Industry seems unstoppable. With new car releases and global debuts in May, the automobile industry has been buzzing, indicating an interesting month ahead. Even though there may be a delay in new car releases in June, some highly anticipated vehicles are still slated for release. Let's check out more closely what gearheads might expect in June 2024.

Tata Altroz Racer

Expected Price: Rs 10 lakh

The Tata Altroz Racer is set to go on sale in June. This sportier Altroz will directly compete with the Hyundai i20 N Line in India thanks to a 1.2-liter turbo-petrol engine that produces 120 PS and is taken from the Tata Nexon. The Altroz Racer will have a new suite of features not seen in the ordinary versions of the high-end hatchback, in addition to a more potent engine.

It has been seen that The Tata Altroz Racer's infotainment system is one of the biggest upgrades. It will have a larger 10.25-inch unit that is taken from the recently released Tata Punch EV and Tata Nexon. Additionally, this system supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto wirelessly.

Another major update is safety, the Altroz Racer is going to receive six airbags. Currently, the regular Tata Altroz only comes with dual front airbags, even in the top-spec variant. The Tata Altroz Racer will feature the Tata Nexon’s 120 PS turbo-petrol engine with manual and automatic transmission options.

Additionally, it is expected to rival the Hyundai i20 N Line.

Maruti Dzire

Expected Price: Rs 6.70 lakh

Maruti Swift seemed to be one of the most anticipated cars of 2024 but Maruti Dzire is nowhere lagging because the hype is real. Similar to the 2024 Swift, several new features and a sleeker appearance are anticipated for the next-generation Dzire. The Hyundai Aura, another well-equipped car in the class, will remain a rival of the 2024 Dzire.

The larger 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system is the first feature that the 2024 Maruti Dzire is probably going to have over the Hyundai Aura. This entertainment system is available with various Maruti vehicles, including the Baleno, Fronx, Grand Vitara, and Jimny. It also supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

The upcoming Maruti Dzire is anticipated to include a single-pane sunroof as well, according to online claims of test mules being spied on. If accurate, India's first subcompact automobile with a sunroof will be the 2024 Dzire.

It is also expected that The new Maruti Dzire could also improve its feature list with the addition of a wireless phone charger, six airbags, and a tire pressure monitoring system. These are features you can already find in the Hyundai Aura.

Audi is set to introduce the facelifted version of its premium SUV, the Audi Q8, in India. Initially, it was globally unveiled in September 2023 and is expected to launch in India by June. The previous generation of the SUV was launched back in 2018, and now five years later, the automaker has introduced its facelifted version. It gets updates in the form of some cosmetic changes and feature upgrades.

The Audi Q8 facelift includes a 2D Audi logo, wider air dampers, a trapezoidal front grille. Except for the new alloy wheels, revised rear bumper, and digital OLED taillamps, the rear is almost unchanged from the outgoing model. The most notable update is the new HD Matrix LED headlights with a laser high beam, digital daytime running lights, and various selectable light signatures.

A 360-degree camera, built-in Spotify and Amazon Music, a Bang and Olufsen sound system, heated and ventilated seats with massaging capabilities, four-zone climate control, and a dual-screen arrangement for the digital instrument cluster and center console are all included.

We expect the facelifted version in India to be offered with the same 3-litre petrol engine making 340 PS and 500 Nm.

MG Gloster Facelift

Expected Price: Rs 39.50 lakh

MG Motors is gearing up to launch the facelifted version of its premium SUV, the MG Gloster, in India. This car is going to be based on the Maxus D90 and is due for a mid-lifecycle update.

The facelifted model will have a completely new external look and is currently available in areas like Australia. A sizable hexagonal grille with red accents, a reworked rear bumper, prominent wheel arches, tough cladding, and new linked LED tail lights are some of the standout features.

The 18-inch alloy wheels will also be redesigned; the India-spec version is probably going to have more chrome. A larger touchscreen, revamped air vents, and a new center console with updated switchgear are among the interior tweaks made to the dashboard. The current 2-liter diesel engine, which comes in 4x2 and 4x4 versions, won't alter mechanically.
