The Tata Punch CNG variant is in the works and it will get a sunroof as well. The Tata Punch SUV will be the fourth product to get a CNG guise just like its siblings - Altroz, Tigor and Tiago. The Tata Punch is powered by a 1.2-litre, in-line, three-cylinder petrol engine coupled with a five-speed manual or an AMT unit that makes a good 86 bhp and 113 Nm of peak torque. The CNG guise will use the same engine, but will produce 76 bhp of power and 97 Nm of peak torque. The Punch CNG will come with five-speed manual transmission.
The Punch will come with the same dual-cylinder setup that is present in the Altroz, instead of one 60-litre tank, it will come with two 30-litre cylinders placed under the boot floor. The Tata Punch packs quite the features list that includes a seven-inch infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a semi-digital instrument cluster, cruise control, projector headlamps, powered ORVMs, rear AC vents, engine start-stop system, and LED DRLs among others.
The Tata Punch starts at Rs 6 lakh for the base variant and goes up to Rs 9.52 lakh ex-showroom for the top variant. It locks horns with the likes of the Renault Kiger, Maruti Suzuki Ignis, Citroen C3, Nissan Magnite and Hyundai Exter to name a few.
The Tata Punch is offered in four variants: Pure, Adventure, Accomplished, and Creative, and nine colour schemes: Grassland Beige, Foliage Green, Tornado Blue, Calypso Red, Meteor Bronze, Atomic Orange, Tropical Mist, Daytona Grey, and Orcus White.
