The Tata Nexon facelift has been revealed by the company and the bookings for the same will open on September 4th.
The exterior changes include a split-headlamp unit, larger grille, thick plastic bar that houses the Tata logo, sequential LED DRLs, new alloy wheels, and a light bar at the rear section to name a few.
The interior changes include the new two spoke steering wheel, slimmer AC vents, less physical buttons, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 10.25-inch digital driver dash, 360-degree camera, connected car tech, wireless charger, ventilated front seats and air purifier among others.
Safety features include six airbags, ESC, three point seat belts for all seats, ISOFIX and breakdown emergency call assistance among others.
The new Tata Nexon is powered by a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine that comes coupled with a five-speed manual/six-speed manual/six-speed AMT/seven-speed DCT and is capable of 120 bhp of power and 170 Nm of torque. A 1.5-litre diesel powertrain is also on offer that churns out 115 bhp and 160 Nm of torque. The diesel unit comes mated to a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic.
It will lock horns with the likes of the Mahindra XUV 300, Kia Sonet, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, and Hyundai Venue to name a few. And prices will be announced on September 14, we can expect a price bracket between Rs. 8-16 lakh for the new Tata Nexon.
