The Tata Nexon EV has been teased ahead of its launch on September 14. Bookings for the same will open on September 9 - World EV Day. Interested customers can book the EV for a token amount of Rs. 21,000.
The Tata Nexon EV SUV is available in three variants - Creative, Fearless, and Empowered. And there are seven colour options to choose from - Pristine White, Daytona Grey, Intensi-teal, Flame Red, Creative Ocean, Fearless Purple, and Empowered Oxide.
The Tata Nexon EV will be offered in two versions - Mid Range (MR) and Long Range (LR). There are two battery packs available - a 30.2 kWh pack that produces 127 bhp and 215 Nm of peak torque, and a 40.5 kWh battery that produces 143 bhp and 215 Nm of peak torque.
The MR offers a range of 325 km of range and the LR offers 465 km of range on a full charge, both are claimed figures. Both versions support 7.2 kW AC Type-2 and 50 kW DC CCS2 charging along with Vehicle-To-Load and Vehicle-To-Vehicle features.
Exterior highlights could include a full-length light bar, vertically stacked LED projector headlamps, fog lights with cornering function, dynamic indicators, a light strip at the rear, air dams, and 16-inch alloy wheels.
Interior highlights include a 10.25-inch instrument console, a new two-spoke steering wheel, a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and voice assist, paddle shifters, nine-speaker JBL audio system, and a Range-Rover style drive mode selector among others.
The safety suite includes a 360-degree camera, front parking sensors, ESP, hill hold and descend control, auto headlamps, and wipers to name a few.
We can expect a price tag starting from Rs. 14.90-19.99 lakh and it will rival the likes of the MG ZS EV.
