The company also said it will start accepting pre-bookings from car buyers in the first half of 2025, where the deliveries will be made in 2026, specifically in the North American Market.

The Sony Honda Mobility CEO, Yasuhide Mizuno, said, “Afeela represents our concept of an interactive relationship where people feel the sensation of interactive mobility and where mobility can detect and understand people and society by utilizing sensing and AI technologies.”

According to the resources, the EV brand will focus on three essential themes: augmentation, autonomy, and affinity. It will be equipped with 45 sensors inside-out, including radar, cameras, lidar, and ultrasonic sensors.

As per the electric concept, the sedan has gotten a sleek, premium look and a clean look on both sides, including the front. It also has sleek LED headlamps at the front, along with a slim glass panel running via the width of the car. The lower front bumper looks sculpted, whereas the car wheels are covered with metal panels.

It is also expected to provide subscription services to vehicle owners, where they can pay a monthly fee to access certain features. The price of the new EV is yet to be determined, but it will be decided strategically to compete with other premium automakers like BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Volvo, and more.
