Skoda is all set to introduce the Enyaq iV in India. It will be the company’s way of testing the waters and then figuring out the future offensive for the country. The Skoda Enyaq iV will be based on the company’s MEB born-electric platform housing a 77 kWh battery pack coupled with dual motors, one on each axle, making it an AWD while pushing a good 265 bhp. The company claims a 0-100 km dash in 6.9 seconds and a claimed WLTP-rated range of up to 513 km.
The same platform is shared with the Volkswagen ID 4 and the Audi Q4 e-tron, which measures 4,648 mm long and 1,877 mm wide. The silhouette resembles a lot like the Kodiaq, but it is a shy smaller. The front fascia is almost identical to the Kodiaq, it gets a blanked-off grille flanked by a swept-back headlamp cluster with DRLs. Air curtains and a larger air dam below the nose grille also flank the lower bumper.
The bonnet has quite the creases and lines giving it a sharp character. The side profile reveals a strong shoulder line with flared wheel arches and cladding song the length of the car. The rear section is yet to be revealed, but an integrated roof spoiler and an LED taillamp setup can be expected.
On the inside, we can expect a sizeable touchscreen infotainment unit and a digital dash for the driver. Other features could include multi-zone climate control, wireless charger, steering mounted controls, heated and ventilated seats, power steering, remote engine start-stop, cruise control, parking sensors, and paddle shifters, to name a few.
