Zeekr has unveiled official pictures of its upcoming MIX electric MPV, hinting at a launch before the end of the year. The photo shoot, seemingly conducted in Chengdu, showcases some notable differences from the previously seen version in the MIIT listing and spy shots. These changes include semi-hidden door handles instead of fully hidden ones, and clearer front light clusters, which were previously darker. These adjustments might have been made for practical reasons, although the exact rationale remains unknown.
The Zeekr MIX is a compact MPV with dimensions of 4688 mm in length, 1995 mm in width, and 1755 mm in height. It features a wheelbase of 3008 mm, emphasizing a design with wheels positioned at each corner. The vehicle is built on the Haohan-M variant of Geely Group’s SEA platform.
There's ongoing confusion regarding the seating capacity of the MIX. While MIIT listings indicate both versions as 5-seaters, spy shots and reports from Chinese media suggest the possibility of a six-seater and even a luxurious four-seater layout. The four-seater variant is expected to include independent seats and a movable electric island console in the back.
Powering the Zeekr MIX is a TZ235XYC01 electric motor delivering a peak power of 310 kW, likely mounted on the rear axle. The vehicle has a top speed of 180 km/h. It utilizes ternary lithium (NCM) batteries sourced from CATL but assembled by Geely in Sichuan Province. The 77 kWh battery pack offers a pure electric range of 550 to 556 km, depending on the configuration, under the CLTC testing cycle.
The weights for the two versions listed in MIIT are 2639 kg and 2739 kg. Buyers can choose between 19-inch and 20-inch wheels.
High-spec versions of the MIX are equipped with Lidar and feature the Zeekr Stargate headlight cluster. This advanced lighting system is similar to the 90-inch long smart light screen on the Zeekr 007, consisting of 1,711 high-power LED lamp beads with a maximum brightness of 10,000 nits.
Zeekr's MIX aims to blend elements of both MPVs and SUVs, despite its MPV-like appearance. The vehicle lacks a B-pillar and has double sliding doors on the passenger side, with a single sliding door and a conventional driver's door on the driver's side. The front seats can swivel and have integrated seat belts, enhancing passenger convenience.
Although recent updates on the Zeekr MIX have been sparse, the release of these official images suggests that the launch is imminent. With these developments, the automotive community eagerly anticipates the arrival of this innovative electric MPV.
