Next-gen BMW iX3 to debut on 5 September with 800km range

The BMW iX3 will be the first production-ready Neue Klasse model of the brand. It is the next generation of BMW electric mobility, constructed on the forward-looking EV platform that the company has been developing. It is set to make its world debut on 5 September at the Munich Auto Show, and its promises are ambitious.

Range and charging breakthrough

This is an SUV being targeted by BMW at range anxiety. The new iX3 is said to cover a range of up to 800km using only one charge, which puts it in the bracket of the longest range EVs available in the market.

What is more amazing is its extremely quick charging feature: within 10 minutes, the iX3 will recharge 350km worth of driving. It is comfort on an entirely new scale for electric SUV consumers.

Within the Future: Technology and Comfort.

The iX3 is anything but about numbers, but is about the next level of driving experience. Features include:

  • Panoramic display with BMW Operating System X – the completely re-engineered iDrive will debut.

  • 3D Head-Up display and redesigned instrument cluster – futuristic immersive displays.

  • New steering wheel design – consistent with the streamlined interior redesign.

The SUV will also serve as the platform for the latest ADAS technology from BMW, enabling enhanced levels of autonomy tailored to local requirements.

Bold Design, India-Bound Future

The new iX3’s exterior, a product of Vision Neue Klasse, features narrowed lines, new lighting elements and BMW’s evolving design language. Indian customers should be thrilled, as this SUV is set to be officially offered in our market. After its worldwide launch in early 2026, the model will be locally assembled at BMW’s plant in Chennai, forming an integral part of the brand’s strategy in India.
