The new Tiguan is 4,359 mm long, 1,639 mm tall, 1,842 mm wide and has a wheelbase of 2,680 mm.
The exterior features include a sleek matrix LED headlamp unit, LED strip that runs the width of the car connecting both headlights, larger air dams, 17 and 20-inch wheels, and a light strip at the rear.
The interior features list includes four-way lumbar adjustable seats with massage function, digital cockpit with 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and 15-inch central touchscreen unit, heads up display, drive modes, ambient lighting and voice assist feature among others.
The new Volkswagen Tiguan gets petrol, diesel and hybrid drivetrains. The two plug-in hybrid variants come equipped with a 19.7 kWh battery that produces 201 bhp or 268 bhp. The company claims an all-electric range of 100 km.
The mild-hybrid variant gets a 1.5-litre turbocharged, four-cylinder engine powered by a 48-volt lithium-ion battery and a 48-volt starter/generator.
There is a 2.0-litre, turbocharged four cylinder engine on offer as well.
