The new TVS X electric scooter has been launched at a price of Rs. 2.50 lakh (ex-showroom, Bangalore). Interested customers can book the EV for a token amount of Rs. 5,000 and we can expect the deliveries for the same by the end of the year.
The TVS X uses a 4.4 kWh battery pack coupled to an electric motor that produces a peak output of 11 kW (14 bhp), and the continuous output is rated at 7 kW (9 bhp). The company claims a range of 140 km on a single charge.
The company also claims a 0-40 kmph dash in 2.6 seconds and a 0-60 kmph in 4.5 seconds. The top speed stands at 105 kmph.
The TVS X is charged by a 3 kW fast charger that juices up the battery from 0-50 per cent in a claimed 60 minutes. A regular charge can do a 0-80 per cent charge in a claimed three hours and 40 minutes.
Features include a 10.25-inch TFT display with Bluetooth, Over The Air updates, NavPro navigation, hill hold assist, smartwatch connectivity, cruise control, single-channel ABS, and three ride modes - Xtride, Xonic, and Xtealth.
Suspension is done by telescopic front forks up front and an offset monoshock at the rear. Braking duties are done by a 220 mm disc on the front wheel and a 195 mm disc at the rear.
