The new generation Nissan Kicks has been spotted testing in full camouflage. It gets a new exterior design, new interiors with additional features and is expected to have new engines as well. The new Kicks has grown in size with an erect stance and angular edges as compared to the round ones on the older model. The front bumper gets integrated ADAS sensors and radars, which hits at an ADAS suite being offered with the new model.
The SUV also has the headlamps positioned lower on the bumper giving the car a new look. The profile shows sizable wheel arches, flat roofline and body-mounted ORVMs. The rear section sports a new sleek tail lamp setup and a new spoiler as well. The interiors are yet to be revealed, but we can expect a sizable touchscreen infotainment unit with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay along with a digital instrument cluster that has new animations for all the readabouts.
The powertrain details are not disclosed yet, the last model on sale used a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that produced 105 bhp of power and 142 Nm of peak torque. There was a 1.3-litre turbo petrol engine that produced 156 bhp of power and 254 Nm of peak torque. There is no word on the SUV making it back to India, the international launch is set for 2024. The company’s India lineup has just one vehicle at the present - Magnite.
