Kia Carnival Or Ka4 To Be Launched In India New MPV To Be Offered With 7, 9 Or 11 Seater Options

Kia India is evaluating the new generation Kia Carnival, also known as the KA4, for launch in the Indian market. The MPV was showcased at the Auto Expo 2023 and has received a lot of attention from potential buyers.

The new Carnival is a stylish and contemporary MPV with connected tail lights, sleeker headlights, and all the modern elements you would expect from a modern car. It is also larger than the outgoing model, with a length of 5155 millimeters and a wheelbase of 3090 millimeters.

The cabin of the new Carnival is also impressive, with a 12.3-inch single piece screen combining the infotainment touchscreen and the digital instrument cluster. Other key features include a new 3-spoke multi-function steering wheel, soft touch panels for the dashboard, and a new beige grid dual tone interior with matching upholstery.

The new Carnival is loaded with features, including the Kia Connect connected car tech, panoramic sunroof, tri-zone climate control, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, ventilated seats, and ambient lighting. It also has multiple airbags, ABS with EBD, front and rear parking sensors, and electronic stability control.

Globally, the Kia KA4 is offered with multiple engine options, including a 3.5-liter turbo GDI engine, a 3.5-liter naturally aspirated MPI petrol engine, and a 2.2-liter four-cylinder diesel engine. If it makes it to India, it is expected to continue with the 2.2-liter diesel engine that churns out 195 brake horsepower and 440 newton meters of peak torque. All three powertrains are mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission as standard.

Kia India has not yet announced a launch date for the new Carnival, but it is expected to be launched in India sometime in 2023.

Additional notes:

The new Carnival is expected to be priced between Rs. 25 lakh and Rs. 35 lakh (ex-showroom). The new Carnival will compete with the Toyota Innova Crysta, the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, and the Mahindra Marazzo.
