The image teased by the company shows a coupe-like silhouette at the rear and looks smaller than the BMW X4 and X6.
The new grille is also outlined in the teaser image, and the grille is likely to be flanked by LED headlamps and signature DRLs.
The overall exterior can be expected to be designed aggressively for a sporty stance and a prominent road presence. This could include flared wheel arches, sleek and sporty tail lamp and headlamp unit along with strong lines on the bonnet.
The interior feature could include two large screens dominating the dashboard. A 10.7-inch touchscreen infotainment unit and a 10.25-inch fully digital dash is likely to make it to the cabin.
The sloping roofline on the rear could result in less headroom and limited boot space.
In terms of powertrain, the BMW X2 is likely to be offered with diesel, petrol and hybrid powertrains. We can also expect a pure electric guise of the X2 as well.
The power range could be from 167 bhp to 321 bhp. We can expect the launch by the end of 2023 or early 2024. The company recently launched the iX1 SUV for Rs. 66.9 lakh (ex-showroom) and it will rival the likes of the Volvo XC40 Recharge, Kia EV6, Mercedes-Benz EQB and Hyundai Ioniq to name a few.
