An all-new SUV with a hybrid drivetrain, contemporary technology, and a tough appearance.
Pre-orders are now being accepted; gasoline models will begin to be delivered in the spring of 2026, while hybrid vehicles will follow.
Renault is pushing up the competition in the 4.2m to 4.4m SUV class and will ultimately return Duster to the Indian market in 2026 with a revitalized ethos. In order to better compete with competitors in the mid-size SUV market, this new version includes a variety of modern features and modern design cues while maintaining the rugged spirit of the original.
Pre-bookings started on January 26, 2026, and fuel model deliveries are planned for March and April. Later this year, during the Diwali holiday, hybrid versions are anticipated.
The 2026 Duster is updated with sharper lines and an SUV-centric appearance while keeping its powerful, boxy shape. The India-spec model's bold cladding, roof rails, 18-inch wheels, LED headlamps, and DRLs all contribute to its daring appearance. Its roomy 700-liter boot and 212mm ground clearance highlight how useful it is for both weekend excursions and city use.
Renault has improved inside. The cabin features two screens, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 10.1-inch touchscreen with integrated Google services, along with a dashboard reminiscent of a fighter jet and high-end materials.
While up to 17 ADAS elements and a 360-degree camera arrangement improve safety, comfort amenities include ventilated front seats, automated climate control, and connected car capabilities.
The new Duster switches to gasoline and hybrid choices instead of diesel. A 1.0-liter turbo-petrol engine powers entry-level vehicles, while a 1.3-liter turbo-petrol unit with manual or dual-clutch automatic gears produces about 163 PS and 280 Nm.
A powerful hybrid E-Tech 160 system, which combines a 1.8-liter engine with electric motors, will be offered for the first time in India. It can provide substantial electric-only driving throughout town.
For ₹21,000, Indian customers can reserve the 2026 Duster with an "R Pass," which provides priority delivery and introductory bonuses. In an effort to boost confidence in this market, Renault is supporting the SUV with a comprehensive guarantee under its "Renault Forever" program, which covers up to seven years or 150,000 kilometers. The business will announce official pricing in mid-March 2026.
Renault is obviously hoping that the 2026 Duster's combination of tradition, technology, and adaptability would rekindle consumer interest in India's competitive SUV sector.
