The Hector Blackstorm and Snowstorm, launched on 7 October 2026, cost Rs 19,99,800 (ex-showroom), identical for both. Roughly Rs 35,000 more the comparable Savvy Pro CVT.
Both come only as a 5-seater with the 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine and CVT automatic. There is no manual, no diesel and no mechanical change.
JSW MG Motor India has introduced two limited editions of the Hector, called the Storm Series, just as the festive season begins. If you like your SUV dark and dressed up from the factory, this is aimed at you.
The Blackstorm is finished in all-black paint. The Snowstorm pairs Pearl White with a contrasting dark roof. Reports disagree on the roof shade's name, calling it either "Starry Night" or "Starry Black", so the exact factory name needs MG's confirmation.
Both editions share the same styling touches. The grille gets a dark "Storm Hex" motif, and the MG logos, skid plates and tailgate elements get dark chrome. Black alloy wheels, red brake calipers, smoked LED tail lamps and dark roof rails complete the exterior.
The cabin goes black too, with a "Nimbus Black" theme, gunmetal-finish trim accents and edition-specific embossing on the front headrests. Reports vary on whether the upholstery is leather, so that detail is unverified.
The rest of the equipment carries over from the top-end Hector. That means a 14-inch portrait touchscreen, over 70 connected-car features and an ADAS suite. The launch coverage did not list individual ADAS functions.
Nothing has changed under the bonnet. The 1.5-litre turbo-petrol makes a claimed 143 PS and 250 Nm, matching the standard petrol Hector. Buyers who want a manual gearbox, a diesel engine or a seven-seat layout will not find them in the Storm Series.
Both editions also include a dealer-fitted exterior accessory pack at no extra cost. Reports list edition badging, red exterior detailing, ORVM protectors and side steps. The warranty terms for these accessories were not stated.
The Storm Series is the Hector in darker clothes, and MG is not pretending otherwise. For Rs 19,99,800 (ex-showroom), you get the black or white-and-black look, red brake calipers, edition-embossed headrests and a free accessory pack, all on the same 143 PS petrol-CVT setup as before.
If that look is what you wanted, it now comes ready-made from the dealer, just in time for the festive season. If you wanted a manual, a diesel or seven seats, the regular Hector range is still where those choices sit.
